The annual AUA Rohrman Trail & Swim Fest is a premier endurance event in Antigua that brings together elite competitors and passionate amateurs in a challenging yet welcoming atmosphere, set against the island’s warm turquoise waters and rugged coastal trails. Known as one of the Caribbean’s most respected multi-discipline races, Rohrman continues to attract top regional and international athletes while remaining accessible to participants of all levels.
A major highlight of this year’s festival is the 4K Open Water Swim, featuring the return of French swimming and triathlon legend Benjamin “Benji” Sanson, who remains unbeaten in Antigua swim events since his first appearance in 2012. Now 55, Sanson continues to prove himself as a formidable open-water competitor and returns to Antigua to defend his title against a strong field.
The competition extends onto land with a fiercely contested 25K trail race, where elite runners from across the Caribbean are set to battle Antigua’s demanding terrain. Confirmed contenders include Kemar Leslie of Jamaica, Reggae Marathon champion; Michael Honore of Trinidad & Tobago, widely regarded as the country’s top trail runner; and Kamar Thomas of Antigua & Barbuda, the island’s leading road and trail athlete and a podium finisher in the 2025 race.
Whether tackling the open water, conquering the trails, or taking part in other festival events, the AUA Rohrman Trail & Swim Fest offers a true test of endurance—bringing together competition, community, and the spirit of adventure that defines Antigua’s outdoor racing scene.
