The British Virgin Islands (BVI) celebrates the 68th Anniversary of the Emancipation Festival. A celebration of the territory’s ancestors’ freedom from colonialism and cultural history. During this time, the BVI showcases the culture and history of its people in grand style with extravaganzas of local and international music, pageants, Food Fairs, Rise & Shine Tramps (early morning street dancing), parades of colourful costumes, gospel celebrations and folklore presentations.
The BVI’s most important cultural showcase takes place July 22nd through August 5th. 10-days of fun and frolic, a jammed packed calendar of activities as follows:

Saturday July 30th – Soca Monarch Competition, International Soca Night
