Dominica Jazz ‘n Creole Festival

The Dominica Jazz ‘n Creole Festival is a festive fusion of Jazz music with Creole music, food, and culture. Launched in 2010, the festival has been well received each year as patrons enjoy the inviting and casual ambience of Fort Shirley in Cabrits, one of Dominica’s major tourism attractions. The festival takes place in the afternoon and evening time to attract more families and visitors to come out, socialise, and partake in the festivities.

The Dominica Jazz ‘n Creole festival showcases the infusion of jazz art form into the creole culture of Dominica. The event has attracted jazz and creole artists from around the world. In 2022, the event featured five diverse jazz artistes and bands including Teddyson John from St. Lucia and JSJ Trio from Guadeloupe, along with local artistes: Femme 4 comprising four female artistes: Marsha Laurent, Shalina Samuel, Marsha Augustine and Tasha Peltier. The 2023 event is expected to include fringe events which will take place around the island leading to the main stage event. More details coming soon.
