St. Kitts and Nevis National Carnival 2025-2026

Visitors know it as the St. Kitts and Nevis National Carnival. The locals affectionately call it “Sugar Mas”. But whatever you refer to it as, one thing’s for sure: there’s no better way to experience Kittitian culture. The island’s carnival brings residents and visitors an unmatched 6 weeks of fun including the Christmas and New Year’s holidays. It is the largest event in the Federation from November to January celebrating the history and culture of  St. Kitts and Nevis.

The islands are awash in a kaleidoscope of colors. Carnival is a license to enjoy the action in fetes, sunset cruises, bar crawls, street celebrations and folklore performances. People dance joyfully with the islands’ vivid moko jumbies, clowns and other traditional folk figures.  Major events include the opening of carnival, National Calypso and Soca Competitions, National Queen Pageant, Mr. GQ, Teen Pageants, Festival of Lights-folklore night all leading up to J’ouvert followed by the parade of the bands on New Year’s Day and last lap parade on the 2nd day of January.

Sugar Mas delivers 10 X the indulgence over the world’s most extraordinary holiday season in St. Kitts and Nevis. Be a part of this year’s St. Kitts and Nevis National Carnival activities. The full schedule of activities can be viewed here.
