One of the most prestigious sailing regattas in the world, Antigua Sailing Week takes place annually at Nelson’s Dockyard, a UNESCO World Heritage site in Antigua. The week-long event is more than sailing as the organizers have integrated a Lay Day to give participants an opportunity to enjoy non-race activities.
2024 will mark the 55th edition of the Antigua Sailing Week and organisers expect to welcome back their usual large number of participating yachts from around the world, ranging from racing boats which include state-of-the-art, high-tech racing machines to a variety of performance cruising and cruising boats.
ASW consists of five days of competitive racing for sailors and offers up plenty for spectators who can observe the race from the infamous Shirley Heights Lookout as well as Chase the Race from a catamaran. Dockyard Day, Reggae in the Park and the Lay Day Beach Party are all part of the week of fun activities. Registration for the 2024 week is open and the full schedule can be found here.
