Bartica Easter Regatta
The annual Bartica Easter Regatta takes place on the Easter weekend in the new Green town of Guyana called Bartica which is located on the confluence of the Essequibo River. This is the oldest annual regatta in Guyana. It has several activities which cater for patrons with varying interests. These are football, gospel concert, speed boat racing, street jams and even a beauty pageant. One of the main attractions at the regatta is the power boat racing which are held on the last day of the regatta. Visitors from all parts of Guyana venture to Bartica for this annual event.
