The most highly anticipated nautical event in the Caribbean is the Leverick Bay Poker Run which celebrates its 20th year in 2024. Participants travel over a pre-designated route which takes them to multiple islands around the British Virgin Islands (BVI) and draw a playing card at each stop, until they complete the route which ends at Leverick Bay Resort & Marina in Virgin Gorda. The objective of the event is to have the best five card poker hand at the end of the run. Awards of up to $20,000.00 in cash and prizes. Prizes are given to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners.
The Leverick Bay Poker Run is more than fun as organisers have contributed and donated over $160,000.00 cash and in-kind to several charities in Virgin Gorda over the years.
