Lucian Carnival is one of the island’s biggest events, so it is no surprise that this carnival grows every year. The 2026 edition of this Caribbean Carnival is expected to be even bigger and better as more inviting events are added to the schedule of activities. Activities run from around July 1st through 22nd and feature a variety of popular traditional events, fetes, boat rides and more.
These include the National Carnival Queen Pageant, the Junior Carnival, the Inter-Commercial Calypso Competition, National Soca & Groovy Monarch, National Calypso Monarch, Panorama (Steel Pan Competition), King and Queen of the Bands, and National J’Ouvert. Carnival culminates in an exciting, fun-filled two-day street parade of live bands, DJ music, colourful carnival costumes, and the joyous and energetic revelry on July 20th and 21st.
These plus a full slate of more than 20 fetes and boat rides make Saint Lucia’s carnival the one not to miss. It is a very special celebration of Caribbean culture and creativity. St. Lucia’s Carnival is recognized as one of the top Caribbean Carnivals and becomes a more vibrant and creative event each year. Travellers from all over the world converge on the island to participate in this exhilarating Carnival.
