The 71st Anniversary of the British Virgin Islands (BVI) Emancipation Festival takes place this year. This Caribbean festival is a celebration of the territory’s ancestors’ freedom from colonialism and cultural history. During this time, the BVI showcases the culture and history of its people in grand style with extravaganzas of local and international music, pageants, Food Fairs, Rise & Shine Tramps (early morning street dancing), parades of colourful costumes, gospel celebrations and folklore presentations.
It is 10-days of fun and frolic; a jammed packed calendar of activities. Below is the schedule of the events taking place at the 2025 BVI Emancipation Festival:
