One of the oldest and most popular carnivals in the Caribbean, St. Vincent & the Grenadines’ annual Carnival celebration, also known as ‘Vincy Mas’ is the biggest event that takes place in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. It is a massive celebration of music, dance, and design, incorporating the island’s history and culture. The main activities begin the last Friday in June and continue for 12 days culminating in J’Ouvert and Mardi Gras on the last two days.
Vincy Mas comprises multiple events including the “Miss SVG” Competition, Parade of the Bands, Calypso Monarch, the King and Queen of Carnival Competition, and many more plus private fetes. It is a feast for the eyes, ears, heart, and soul.
